Dena Welden


Attorney Dena Welden joined Wisconsin Judicare in 2017 as a Staff Attorney in the Civil Unit.  Attorney Welden previously focused on representing victims of elder abuse as part of the Elder Rights Project but  transitioned to Judicare's  Employment Barriers Project. In this project, funded by WisTAF from the Bank of America settlement funds, she will be focuses on unemployment, employee rights, and consumer matters. 

Attorney Welden currently serves on the State Bar of Wisconsin's standing committee for Legal Assistance  where her interests are in continuing access to Justice through promotion and expansion of legal projects. Welden has been the recipient of the Belle Case Lafollette Award in 2018. 

Attorney Welden is a 2017 Marquette University Law graduate who came by way of Florida State University after earning her Masters in Program Administration. Attorney Welden was a D-1 Cross Country and Track & Field athlete at the University of Nevada Reno. Attorney Welden has come to love many things Northern Wisconsin has to offer, including cheese, craft beer, the Northwoods, and snowshoeing.
