PERCOLATING PARTNERSHIPS
In April, 2006 Legal Grounds Wisconsin® founders Erin and Brynne McBride sat down with representatives from the Madison, Wisconsin Filterfresh Coffee Service, Inc. franchise owners. With strong ties to Wisconsin’s businesses, Filterfresh was eager to support our established coffeehouse. Filterfresh paints an elegant picture of how the company adapts to diverse sectors of the economy: “From TV shows to quaint cafes to the shops on every corner, coffee is stylish, trendy, smart. People expect great coffee these days, no matter where they are, no matter what they're doing. Filterfresh is about giving you great coffee anywhere, anytime. Whether in your office, your store, or your home, we brew coffee that will satisfy even the most discriminating coffee connoisseur. And our coffee and beverage systems match everything from the largest corporations to the single coffee drinker at home.” Filterfresh Coffee Service, Inc., based in Westwood, Mass., is a subsidiary of Van Houtte, Inc. The company, a pioneer in single-cup coffee makers, provides state-of-the-art equipment, beverages, programs and services to offices, manufacturing facilities, retailers, supermarkets, hotels, and other places of employment. Van Houtte, Inc. has been one of North America’s leading gourmet coffee roasters, marketers and distributors since 1919. The Company markets its gourmet coffees across Canada and the US through distribution channels that include: coffee services, retail stores, cafés, online shopping and food services networks.

Wisconsin Judicare says goodbye to a wonderful collaboration with Starbucks of Wausau. Starbucks, 306 S. 17th Avenue, continued its tradition of community involvement with supply donations to Legal Grounds Wisconsin®. Manager Rich Faxon and associate Mary Rose Pries made a generous donation of ground coffee. Associates also made personal donations, with pounds of “Komodo Dragon Blend®,” “Caffé Verona®,” and “Starbuck’s Breakfast Blend.” Starbucks has many community building programs that contribute positively to their communities. They encourage and reward volunteerism and participation in organizations such as local schools, literacy programs, walk-a-thons, Earth Day activities, and now, Legal Coffeehouses. With our new association, we will miss the kind welcomes and ease of business with our Starbucks® managers. Thanks, Starbucks®!!
