Laws Boosting Domestic Violence Protections Pass

“Research shows that the presence of a gun in a DV situation makes it five times more likely the victim will be killed and before the passage of the act, the majority of counties in WI (80-percent) had no active enforcement procedure to verify whether abusers had surrendered their firearms when ordered to do so,” stated Becky Steinbach, Children and Youth Advocate for Time-Out Family Abuse Shelter.
