What is mediation?
Mediation is the process of assisting people in resolving their disputes before court intervention through the help of trained volunteer mediators who will assist in finding a resolution acceptable to all sides. Judicare Mediation Services provides free mediation to the following counties in Wisconsin:
Bayfield
Langlade
Lincoln
Marathon
Pierce
Portage
Rusk
Eligibility
If you have a small claims action or other court-ordered mediation requirement in one of our covered counties, Judicare offers free mediation to help you resolve your dispute before the court hearing.
Even if you have not yet filed a lawsuit, you can still request Judicare to mediate a dispute between you and another party.
Judicare Mediation helps parties reach an agreement in the following case types:
Eviction
Debt collection
Other small claims cases
